Request a New Jira or Confluence Plug-In
Overview
P1 supports approved Jira and Confluence plug-ins. Customers may request additional plug-ins by following the process outlined in this document and by submitting them for formal review.
All requested plug-ins must:
- Pass security review
- Receive leadership approval
- Be funded by the requesting organization
P1 may deny or remove plug-ins that do not meet cybersecurity or operational requirements.
WARNING
New plug-ins require licensing for all users within the applicable IL environment. Licensing cannot be limited to individual teams or projects. Requestors must fund the full licensing cost, and all proposed tools must satisfy security and compliance requirements before implementation.
Before You Submit a Request
Customer Responsibilities
Your organization is responsible for:
- Funding the plug-in license
- Funding installation or maintenance costs, if applicable
- Renewing licenses annually
Open Enrollment Window
P1 only accepts new plug-in requests during the annual enrollment period:

Requests submitted outside this window are reviewed during the next cycle.
Submit a New Plug-In Request
1. Submit a Request
Submit a request using the Atlassian Plug-in Request form .
2. Discuss Your Request with the CollabTools Team
Meet with the CollabTools team to review your plug-in request. During this discussion, the team will confirm compatibility, answer any questions, and determine whether an existing solution already meets your needs.
If the plug-in is approved:
- P1 provides a final quote and funding instructions
- Your organization submits funding
- BAM team notifies CollabTools if and when funding is approved
- P1 purchases and installs the plug-in
3. Security and Compliance Review
Your plug-in will undergo a security review, which typically takes about one week. If any security issues are identified, the CollabTools team will work with the vendor to address them and ensure the plug-in meets deployment requirements. While remediation can sometimes take a few weeks, vendors can generally make the necessary updates. If the plug-in ultimately does not meet security requirements, your BAM will notify you and provide any feedback or next steps from the Cyber team.
4. Installation and Maintenance
Once your plug-in is purchased, the CollabTools team will install it and notify your organization when it is available for use. The team will also provide ongoing maintenance, including weekly monitoring for updates and security concerns, and will automatically apply approved updates to keep the plug-in secure and functioning properly.
Renew Existing Plug-Ins
To renew an existing plug-in:
- Confirm renewal intent with your BAM
- Review and approve the renewal quote in Odoo provided by your BAM
- Submit funding before the renewal deadline
Important Information
Security Requirements
All plug-ins must comply with P1 cybersecurity requirements.
P1 may:
- Deny plug-in requests
- Remove approved plug-ins (if the plug-in vendor does not comply with needed updates)
- Disable plug-ins that introduce a security risk (until the risk is resolved)
Funding Periods of Performance
Some plug-ins may use a different period of performance than your primary agreement. In these cases, additional funding actions may be required.
Your BAM will coordinate these actions with your organization.
