Reset or Set Up Your Password
Overview
Use this guide if you:
- Forgot your P1 password.
- Your password is no longer working.
- Need to create a password for an existing account.
- Created your P1 account using a CAC and did not create a password during registration.
Reset your password
If you forgot your password, your password is no longer working, or the Help Desk determines that a password reset is required:
- Request password assistance through the Help Desk .
- The Help Desk will initiate the appropriate password reset.
- Check the email address associated with your P1 account.
- Open the password reset message.
- Select the secure link provided in the email.
- Create a new password that meets the requirements displayed on the screen.
- Complete the password reset.
- Return to the P1 login page and sign in with your new password.
Didn't receive the password reset email?
If you do not receive the password reset email:
- Confirm that you are checking the email address associated with your P1 account.
- Check your spam or junk folder.
- Allow a few minutes for the message to arrive.
- If the message still does not arrive, contact the Help Desk.

If you no longer have access to the email address associated with your account, tell the Help Desk when requesting assistance.
Created your account using a CAC but never set a password?
If you created your P1 account using a CAC, you may not have created a password during registration.
If you can access your P1 account profile:
- Sign in to your P1 account profile.
- Open the Password tab.
- Follow the prompts to create your password.
- If MFA has not been configured, open the Authenticator tab.
- Follow the prompts to complete MFA setup.

Security reminder: The Help Desk will never need your password to reset it. Never include your password in a support request.
