Overview
This guide provides instructions for installing and configuring AppGate, authenticating to IL5 resources with a CAC, and troubleshooting common AppGate issues.
For detailed installation instructions and common troubleshooting procedures, see the AppGate Installation and Troubleshooting Guide.
INFO
AppGate does not support T-Mobile.
Install and configure AppGate
Follow the AppGate Installation Guide to install the AppGate Client.
After installation, use the IL5 Access Setup Guide to configure access to IL5 resources.
Ensure CAC authentication is used
IL5 access requires CAC authentication. In some cases, the AppGate Client may attempt to authenticate using a cached browser session instead of prompting for CAC authentication.
If AppGate does not prompt for your CAC, follow these steps to clear the cached authentication session:
- Clear your browser cache and cookies for all time.
- Remove your CAC from the reader.
- Completely quit all browsers.
- Sign out of the AppGate Client.
- Insert your CAC.
- Open the AppGate Client and select Sign In.
AppGate should now prompt for CAC authentication.
