Mattermost License Transition to P1LM

P1 is transitioning Mattermost license management to P1LM. The transition will occur over 90 days, giving organizations time to review their teams, provision authorized users, and resolve any outstanding licensing issues.

90-Day transition timeline

Period	What happens
Days 1–45	Onboarding Supervisors review their assigned teams, verify users, and assign Mattermost licenses in P1LM.
Day 45	Users who have not been provisioned are notified and instructed to confirm their status and contact their Onboarding Supervisor, if needed.
Days 45-90	Organizations resolve remaining provisioning and licensing issues.
Day 90	P1LM becomes the authoritative source for Mattermost license management. Users who have not been assigned a license will lose Mattermost access until a license is assigned.

What do I need to do?

General Users

You do not need to take action unless you receive a notification that you have not been provisioned.

If you receive a notification:

1. Sign in to P1LM and confirm your provisioning status.
2. Identify your Onboarding Supervisor.
3. Contact your Onboarding Supervisor to confirm your eligibility and request a Mattermost license, if needed.
4. Complete these steps before Day 90 to avoid losing Mattermost access.

Onboarding Supervisors

During the transition, Onboarding Supervisors are responsible for reviewing and provisioning users in P1LM.

Before Day 90:

1. Review your assigned teams in P1LM.
2. Verify that users are assigned to the correct teams.
3. Confirm that authorized users have the appropriate Mattermost license.
4. Add users to teams as needed.
5. Add or manage Onboarding Supervisors for your assigned teams as needed.
6. Resolve outstanding provisioning or licensing issues.

What happens after Day 90?

Beginning on Day 90, P1LM becomes the authoritative source for Mattermost license management.

WARNING

Users who have not been assigned a Mattermost license will lose access to Mattermost until an authorized Onboarding Supervisor assigns a license.

If you cannot identify an Onboarding Supervisor for your team, submit a request through the P1 Support Hub. Include the following information when available:

• Organization or application name
• Mattermost group
• P1 account number
